Animal Sponsorship
Welcome, and thank you for visiting our sponsorship page. Sponsorship is a great and economical way to make a difference in the lives of our rescued animals. It is also critical to the Refuge because it provides a steady source of funds to feed and provide top-notch care for our rescues.
When you sponsor one of our wonderful animals, you will receive a beautiful, high-quality photo of your chosen animal along with their story and how they came to live at Piedmont Farm Animal Refuge. You will also get a Refuge sticker, perfect for the car or home.
Sponsorships make wonderful gifts for birthdays, holidays, or anytime for everyone on your list!
Financial information about our organization and a copy of our license are available from the North Carolina State Solicitation Licensing Branch at 919-807-2214. The license is not an endorsement by the state.

FAQs
Can an animal have multiple sponsors?
Yes, animals can have more than one sponsor. Sponsorship is more symbolic and a way to support all of our animals. It would be impossible to separate feed or bedding among many hens, for instance.
Can I sponsor more than one animal?
Of course you can! And you’ll be one of our most favorite people if you do.
Can I name the animal?
Unfortunately no. Our animals are named early on, and it would not be fair to the animal to change their name. Their medical records are also tied to their names. However, we run fundraising campaigns, and we will have contests every so often whereby there will be opportunities to name an animal, so be on the lookout for those.
What happens if my sponsored animal dies?
Unfortunately, many of the animals we rescue come from horrible conditions that have caused medical issues. If your sponsored animal dies, the shelter manager will contact you directly, and you will have the option to transfer your sponsorship to a different animal or to cease the sponsorship.
What if I want to pay for my sponsorship by check?
You can pay for your sponsorship by check. However, if you choose this option, we ask that you pay for the whole year up front. Checks can be mailed to: 7236 NC Hwy 87 North, Pittsboro, NC 27312
