TOURS & FIELD TRIPS

PUBLIC TOURS

Piedmont Farm Animal Refuge offers public tours called “Tour & Explores” on a monthly basis from March through November. During these tours visitors have the opportunity to meet and learn about our rescued animals from compassionate and knowledgable tour guides who are stationed throughout the sanctuary. Visitors can explore the sanctuary at their own pace and enjoy vegan food from food trucks and other vendors who attend each month. Visitors can also enjoy special activities and themes offered at some tours, including our Halloween Tour & Explore and our Day with the Turkeys Tour. These public tours are typically held on a Saturday from 11am to 2pm and tickets are offered on a sliding scale from $5 - $40 per person. From December through February we are closed for public tours to allow us to plan for the next year and make necessary repairs to the sanctuary buildings and grounds. To see our current schedule of tours and other special events, please visit our Events Calendar.

FIELD TRIPS

Piedmont Farm Animal Refuge offers free field trips for school groups, including homeschool programs and scout troops. These field trips are scheduled on an individual basis and are structured with one or two guides leading the entire group throughout the sanctuary. In some cases, opportunities for volunteering during the visit are possible. Field trips are typically between 1.5 and 2 hours in length and can be scheduled by emailing us at: info@piedmontrefuge.org

PRIVATE TOURS

Our capacity to offer private tours is currently very limited and is offered on a case by case basis. Due to other responsibilities and the needs of the animals we are unfortunately not often able to consistently provide this opportunity. To inquire about the possibility of a private tour, please email us at: info@piedmontrefuge.org

OTHER EVENTS

Piedmont Farm Animal Refuge offers other special events throughout the year including Cooking Classes, Film Screenings, Potlucks, and our annual Benefit for the Animals fundraiser. To learn more and see upcoming special events, please visit our Events Calendar.
