Donating stocks, bonds, or mutual funds to the Refuge is a great way to support our work. We are able to use the full value for our mission of providing lifelong care to our rescued residents.

If you donate appreciated securities that you have owned for more than one year, you receive an income-tax charitable deduction for the full, fair market value of the securities, and you may avoid federal capital gains tax on the transfer. Please check with your tax consultant for advice about your particular gift.

Please contact Piedmont Farm Animal Refuge to let us know that you will be making a gift of securities. We will need your name, the name of the security, and the number of shares being donated, in order to acknowledge your gift.

How to Give:

If you hold securities with a broker or a bank, you may transfer them electronically by instructing your broker to send the securities to our account through the Depository Trust Company (DTC). Please find our account info below.
