Miyoko

Miyoko was rescued from a backyard butchery in New York’s Hudson Valley, where she was starving along with around 200 other farm animals. Law enforcement and local sanctuaries worked together to remove the animals and get them to safety. Miyoko and six of her goat friends moved together, as a unit, to their new home here at Piedmont Farm Animal Refuge. Miyoko is a friendly goat who enjoys getting scratched by her human friends. She is named after Miyoko Schinner, the vegan chef who created Miyoko’s Vegan Cheese.
