Thistle

Thistle, along with friends Chris and Pat, came to the Refuge as a young duckling. They were part of a school hatching project in North Carolina and the teacher involved reached out to the Refuge for help. Not only did she do the right thing by contacting a rescue, she is now determined to never engage in hatching projects again, and is even working to get other teachers to switch to alternative programs.
