Peep

Peep, our tiniest resident, arrived at the sanctuary after a kind passerby found her in the middle of a rural North Carolina road. As a delicate little bantam hen, she was vulnerable and frightened. We soon noticed that Peep wasn't using one of her legs, and a vet visit confirmed our concerns: her leg was fractured in three places. With careful medication and plenty of rest, we're hopeful she can recover without the need for surgery. Despite her small size, Peep has a huge personality! She "peeps" enthusiastically whenever anyone approaches and adores being snuggled.
