Cassandra
Cassandra, Cassie for short, was rescued from a backyard butchery in New York’s Hudson Valley, where she was starving along with around 200 other farm animals. Law enforcement and local sanctuaries worked together to remove the animals and get them to safety. Cassie and six of her goat friends moved together, as a unit, to their new home here at Piedmont Farm Animal Refuge. Cassie was originally terrified of people when she first arrived at the Refuge. She is now very laid back and knows that she is safe and loved.
