Roz

Due to the unfortunate closure of another animal sanctuary in the mountains of NC, Roz and her friend Benny were rescued by the Refuge to live the rest of their lives in the company of other cow friends. Roz was originally saved by a kind individual who was driving in a rural area and found her on a pile of dead animals. Roz had just been born, but had been discarded and left alone on a cold night. With love and care, she was nursed back to health and is now, along with Benny, one of our largest residents! Like all individuals, though, their relative size is no indication of their temperaments; Roz and Benny both really enjoy scratches and treats from humans.
