Camellia

Camellia came to us with her baby, Marigold, after being used as a “lawnmower” at a convenience store in rural North Carolina. The little family was being kept in a small, rocky pen with no shade and very little to eat next to the store. After a concerned citizen reached out to PETA regarding the conditions in which the sheep were being kept, the organization was able to convince the store owner to relinquish both Camellia and her baby. When they arrived at the Refuge, it was clear that she was starving before being rescued. Camellia will always have access to fresh hay, a cozy shelter, and safety for her and her baby, ensuring they can peacefully live out their lives.
