Rose

Rose and her three friends lived for many years with a family until their caretaker developed dementia and could no longer provide them with proper care. They came to the Refuge at the very old age of 23, and hence the entire flock was nicknamed The Golden Girls! Their first several weeks at the Refuge were spent learning to enjoy a healthier diet for their age and adjusting to their new life with us. Now that they've settled into life on the pond, you will never see one without the other three!
