Katie

In the Summer of 2023, there was a horrible animal neglect case in Garner, NC: 200 farm animals were being kept on less than 2 acres and were slowly starving.  Many were dead, but some were still alive despite the conditions they were living in. Katie, along with her friend Elf, were both rescued by the Refuge before it was too late for them. Katie is a rambunctious individual who is always extremely curious about humans and likes to "help" with cleaning, medical exams and any other activity that's going on! We are so happy that, after receiving special daily care for a few weeks, they are both thriving at the Refuge!
