This event was held on our sanctuary grounds and kicked off with a vegan grilling demo provided by Chef Kevin Archer, assisted by our own Monika Soria Caruso! This dynamic duo worked their magic yet again and shared tips for traditional grilling plus ideas for how to get that smokey flavor on your plate without the use of a grill. The menu included grilled okra, hickory sauced tempeh skewers and fruit skewers with a chocolate balsamic reduction. Immediately following the class we welcomed a large crowd to help us celebrate the completion of our first barn! Free food, live music, volunteer awards, and a visit with Robby the rooster were all part of the fun.
