Sweet Mama was used for seven years in the dairy industry until her milk production waned and her health deteriorated. She was taken away to be auctioned for slaughter but amazingly escaped the stockyard. She found her way to a large cattle farm nearby where she gave birth to two beautiful babies. A kind woman cared for Sweet Mama and her babies until we were able to take them in. The entire family moved to the Refuge in mid-September of 2015 and they will spend the remainder of their lives cared for and loved. Sweet Mama is a strong parent who keeps a close eye on her kids. She has grown trusting of humans that she has gotten to know and her health has improved with the care that she now receives.
