Ophelia’s family was forced to rehome their chickens and could not find a suitable place for her. One of her legs was unstable, and she needed to find a place where she would be protected and well cared for.

Ophelia is a mix of Silkie and Cochin. Silkie chickens are normally polydactyl, meaning they have two back toes instead of just one. In Ophelia’s case, she has three! Ophelia will join our flock of special chickens in the Aviary.
