Henrietta was living in the parking lot of a bank in Graham, North Carolina. A kind couple was looking out for her well being but they could not provide her with a safe home. As the winter temperatures continued to drop, they became increasingly concerned for her safety. They called us and we came to rescue her the same day. Initially, we thought she would do well in the same pasture with a rooster named Henry but she continuously jumped over the fence to the neighboring pasture with two of our turkeys, Apollo and Tony. The three have become fast friends and Apollo and Tony are very protective of their chicken friend. Although Henrietta still likes to visit with Henry at the fence she prefers living with the turkeys.
