Administrative & Marketing Coordinator

 

Responsibilities

  • Marketing our programs & events via website, social media and email
  • Creating quarterly E-Newsletters in MailChimp
  • Taking photographs and videos of animal residents on a weekly basis
  • Taking photographs and videos of on-site events and off-site events as needed
  • Organizing and leading vegan food sampling events, including applying for grants via VegFund
  • Maintaining merchandise and office supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level and anticipating needed supplies
  • Monitoring, re-channeling and answering emails sent to general email inbox
  • Sending out membership, sponsorship, and sustainer packets
  • Fulfilling merchandise orders
  • Writing and mailing donor acknowledgement letters
  • Answering office phone calls
  • Filing paperwork & filling out various basic applications
  • Updating and maintaining various excel spreadsheets
  • Monitoring activity and posting content in organization’s social media channels
  • Entering financial data into Quickbooks as needed
  • Researching animal-related, office, and merchandise items to be purchased, as requested
  • Assisting with the planning and organization of annual fundraiser as needed
  • Cleaning of office on a weekly basis or as needed

 

Qualifications

  • Commitment to the mission of the Refuge
  • Knowledge of and passion for animal rights issues and veganism is strongly preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to interact constructively with volunteers, staff, and the general public
  • Experience working with volunteers is strongly preferred
  • Resourcefulness and ability to work independently
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and meet time sensitive demands
  • Ability to learn and process new information quickly
  • Strong time management skills with ability to multi-task efficiently and meet deadlines
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Drive, and social media platforms
  • Experience with WordPress, MailChimp, Quickbooks and Salesforce is a PLUS
  • Schedule flexibility to meet onsite program requirements; some weekend, evening and holiday hours are required
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

 

Job Specifics

  • Part-time permanent position, starting at 20 hours per week
  • Starting wage is $12 – $18 per hour based on experience
  • Telecommuting may be possible for a portion of weekly hours
  • Requires schedule flexibility, including weekends, evenings and holidays as needed
