In 2015 Piedmont Farm Animal Refuge successfully raised $35,000 to build ponds, fences and state-of-the-art housing for rescued ducks and geese. We are grateful to the many donors and volunteers who made this effort possible!

Indiegogo Fundraiser: July-September 2015

The campaign efforts began with an online fundraiser through the crowd-funding website Indiegogo. We met our goal of $10,000 and gave away some amazing perks, including an opportunity to name newly rescued animals. You can view the our archived Indiegogo fundraising page and campaign video here.

The Annual Benefit for the Animals: October 24, 2015

We followed up our online fundraiser with our annual benefit at the Center for Architecture & Design in Raleigh, NC. We welcomed close to 100 Refuge supporters who enjoyed all vegan appetizers, a fabulous silent auction, raffle, open bar, and a yearly update from founder Lenore Braford.

Building The Duck & Goose Habitat

The ponds and structures for rescued ducks and geese broke ground in April of 2016. The construction continues and we hope to be open for rescue in the spring of 2017. In the meantime, our first duck resident, Xavier, is eagerly awaiting his new home and ponds while hanging out in our quarantine building.
